Rama Lee Bruce, 62, of Caseville died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her home while under hospice care.
Rama was born August 8, 1949 in Pontiac to the late Richard and Rose (Danner) Wingett. She graduated from Lake Orion High School in 1967 and later from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. On July 13, 2002 she married Anthony Bruce in Caseville.
Rama retired from Michigan Sugar in 2006, having worked there for 25 years. Along with her husband, she owned and operated the Depot Bakery in Caseville. She was a member of the Caseville Eagles, Caseville United Methodist Church, pool league at Riverside and Port Elizabeth and enjoyed going to casinos and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her husband Tony; children Richard of Caseville, Nicole (Jeff) Gallagher of Los Angeles, Stephen (Deanna) Bruce of Monroe, Michael (Kim) Bruce of Taylor and Ryan (Sarah) Bruce of Denver; 11 grandchildren; and sister-in-law Patricia Wingett of Utica.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Roland and Rodney.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Chaplain Karen Bouverette officiating.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 Monday and 2 to 8 Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
