Ramanda Lynn Skelton

Ramanda Lynn Hood-Skelton of Burt, age 35, passed away from complications of Niemann-Pick disease on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Covenant Cooper in Saginaw surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 14, 1990 in Naples, the daughter of Tracey Lynn (Henry) Szuran. Ramanda enjoyed going on trips to the zoo and watching all the animals. She was happiest watching movies or listening to music. Ramanda loved being outside, laying in the grass and soaking up the sun. One of her favorite pastimes was swimming, she loved being in the water.

Ramanda shared a special, unbreakable bond with her sister, Beccah, who was her other half. Together, they were inseparable and made the best team. Sadly, Beccah passed on April 22, 2023 and she has missed her dearly every day since.

Ramanda had a special love for being pampered. Whether it was getting her nails done, enjoying a facial, or getting a pedicure, she loved those moments of relaxation. Ramanda adored Stitch, surrounding herself with anything that featured her favorite character. Known for her strong will and incredibly kind heart, Ramanda was always ready to offer a hug or flash her signature peace sign, spreading positivity wherever she went.

Ramanda leaves to cherish her memory, her son & daughter; her mother, Tracey Szuran of Saginaw; brother, Andrew Szuran of Saginaw; grandparents, Dennis & Barb Henry, and Dianne Whittaker; aunts and uncles, Ryan & Holly Henry, Trevor & April Henry, Miranda Whittaker, Trina & Jason Rushing, and Randy & Kelly Whittaker; great-grandmother, Betty Weber; and many cousins. Ramanda was preceded in death by her sister, Rebeccah Marie Hood; grandfather, Randy Whittaker; aunt, Christine Hoppe; and great-grandparents, William Weber and Stanley & Gerry Henry.

A memorial service will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ransford Funeral Home in Caro, with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Ramanda’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
