Ramon G. Sanchez

Ramon G. Sanchez, 58 of Bay Port, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Born in Sinton, Texas on January 31, 1955, he was the son of Desiderio and Eusebia (Garses) Sanchez. He graduated in 1973 from Laker High School. On July 13, 1981 he was united in marriage to Keri E. Sprague in Ohio.

Ray worked at General Cables and Darins Handyman & Construction. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid sports fan. He was a member at Bay Port United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Sanchez of Pigeon; a son, Daniel Sanchez, his wife Sara, and their son Christian, all of Bay Port; siblings, Luis Sanchez of Texas, Elena Garcia of Morenci, Angie Emerson of Houston, Texas, Adelita and John Gamboa of Plainview, Texas, Ana and Tim Ertel of Sebewaing, Amelia Pelletier of Bay City, Toni Farmer of Daytona, Florida, and Ramiro and Geri Sanchez of Morenci; in-laws, Robert and Sara Sprague of Bay Port, Darin and Carrie Sprague of Caseville, Dina & Russ Wise of Bay Port, and Angela Sprague and John Himmel of Caseville; special friend, Mary Lesoski; and many nieces nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Keri E. Sanchez; parents Desiderio and Eusebia Sanchez; brother, Nicholas Sanchez; and sister-in-law, Kim Schafer.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Bay Port United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brian Johnson officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
