Ramona Lee Czykyski, age 58, of Caro, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010 at her home. She was born on September 20, 1952 in Flint to the late Raymond and Mary (Lewis) Slade. Mona was raised in Clio and graduated from high school in 1970. She lived in Flushing, Honor, and came to Caro approximately 30 years ago. She was a homemaker and mother, and throughout her life, she was loved and supported by her family, friends, and neighbors. She loved gardening, coupon collecting, and computer games. Mona has made the ultimate sacrifice in donating her body for study to the Neurofibromitosis research at the National Cancer Institute. Mona was an amazing, selfless, strong woman who is irreplaceable to the family and all those who were blessed to know her. She is survived by two children, a son Scott (Angel) Czykyski of Caro; a daughter, Rebecca Czykyski of Caro; their father, Bernard Czykyski of New Port Richie, Florida; three grandchildren, Devlin, Menah and Julian; six siblings, Charles (Charlene) Slade of Port Charlotte, Florida, William (Connie) Slade of Manistee, Kathryn Atwell and Terry Sanders of Sears, Richard (Mary Lee) Slade of Otisville, Carole (Derek) Frakes of New Hudson, and Mary Ann Cullen of Caro; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy Slade. Friends are invited to attend a family gathering to be held in Monas honor at Brentwood on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. where a meal will be available for purchase.
