Randy Colling, age 54, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Caro Community Hospital, following a brief illness. Randy was born September 29, 1953 in Caro, the son of William & Myrna Jo (Kennedy) Colling, and was a lifelong area resident. He was employed by the Kroger Store in Caro for fourteen years. The family then purchased the store, opened it as Bills Foodland, where Randy was the manager for the next twenty-two years. Randy was united in marriage to Linda Dillon on July 14, 1973 in Gagetown. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. Randy also enjoyed camping, watching NASCAR races and playing practical jokes on family and friends. Randy will be best remembered as an avid family man that loved spending time with his wife, daughter and grandchildren. Randy is survived by his wife of nearly thirty-five years, Linda Colling of Cass City; his daughter, Lesley Colling of Cass City; two grandchildren, Kayley Jo Colling and Isaac Dearman; his father, William R. Colling of Caro; three sisters, one brother and their spouses, Tamara Jo Colling of Lansing, Timothy S. & Debra Colling of Caro, Julie & Linden Colling-DeMott of Mayville, Kathleen D. & Ken Earl of Caro; niece and nephews, James Putnam, Caitlyn Colling, Trammell and Whitaker Earl; his mother-in-law, Lois Dillon of Unionville and many dear friends. Randy was preceded in death by his mother Myrna Jo Colling in 1992, his father in law, Leonard Dillon in 2007 and brother-in-law, Richard Dillon in 1981.
