Randy Bardwell

Randy Bardwell, age 54, passed away unexpectedly while on a vacation at Grand Turk Island, BWI, on Friday, March 26, 2010. Randy was born May 21, 1955 in Cass City, the son of Frederick J. & Twila C. (Kenney) Bardwell. He graduated from Cass City High School in 1973, Ferris State University with a B.S. Degree in Nuclear Medicine in 1978 and from the University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Public Administration in 1989. He was employed with St. Josephs Hospital in Flint for several years before taking a position at Foote Hospital in Jackson becoming a valued member of the Allegiance team as clinical manager of Imaging, Safety & Compliance and had responsibility for the Nuclear Medicine department, mobile PET Scan and Allegiance Diagnostic Centers, since 1991. Randy was united in marriage with the former Linda A. Laarman on June 15, 1991 at the Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church in Caro. Randy enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially skiing, backpacking and traveling. Randy also served as an advocate for those affected by diabetes, a disease he had since childhood, and was invited with Linda to Stockholm, Sweden to take part in a breakthrough research program. Left to cherish Randys memory are his wife of over eighteen years, Linda Bardwell of Parma; his mother, Twila Bardwell of Caro; two brothers and their spouses, Fred & Elaine Bardwell and Thom & Karla Bardwell, all of Caro; five nieces, five nephews, two great nieces and special friends, Bob & Pat Wood of Jacksonville, Florida. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Bardwell.
