Randy James Dutcher, 57, of Pigeon died Friday, June 6, 2014 at his home while under hospice care.
Randy was born June 12, 1956 in Sandusky to the late Roland and Doris (Casebier) Dutcher. After high school he moved from Sebewaing to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. There he worked as both a commercial fisherman and a heavy equipment operator for the city of Pascagoula. He married Pamela Dressler of Sebewaing on November 21, 1999 in Mississippi. They returned to Pigeon in 2004. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was a talented woodworker, but his greatest love was fishing: sport fishing but also fishing for souls by spreading God’s word.
He is survived by his wife Pamela; son Roland Joseph (Tabitha) and daughter Tiffany Nicole (Joey) Haynes, both of Alabama; grandchildren Tyler, Noah and Waylen; brothers Rick of Richmond and Robert of Florida; sister Deanne of Arizona; the mother of his children Tammy Dutcher of Alabama; and many other extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronnie.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, June 9th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Stolarczyk officiating. Burial will be in New Bay Port Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 7 pm Sunday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (corner of M-25 and Crescent Beach Road), and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Hospital Hospitality House at Covenant Hospital.
