Randy Allen Whittaker

Randy Allen Whittaker of Caro, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Randy was born March 13, 1952, the son of the late Guy and Irene (Frank) Whittaker. He attended Cass City High School and was then drafted into the U.S. Army. Randy worked for the Caro Center for over thirty years, retiring in 2009. It was at work Randy met the love of his life, the former Dianne Weber. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage in 1986. Together they shared over thirty-six years, a beautiful, blended family of seven children, and countless memories. He belonged to the Caro Moose Lodge and was on a bowling league at The Brentwood for many years. Randy was a jack of all trades, loved working in his wood shop, and was a very skilled carpenter, constructing many buildings over the years. He would help anyone and everyone any way he could. Randy and Dianne would help the neighbors with their lawn, leaves, snow, and even chopping up fallen trees. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and above all else, being with his family. Family meant everything to Randy, and he always loved the family get-togethers. Randy's loving, determined, fun, and kind-hearted memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Randy is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Whittaker; children, Tracey Szuran, Trina (Jason) Rushing, Ryan (Holly) Henry, Trevor (April) Henry, Randy (Kelly) Whittaker, and Miranda (Matt) Duffield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Tammy Dicks, Kathy Daniels, Brenda Kilbourn, and Guy Whittaker; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Hoppe; and siblings, Danny Whittaker, Gerry Whittaker, and Sharon Whittaker. In keeping with Randy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Dave Dietzel officiating. Randy's family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
