Raymond P. Bauley, 77, of Caseville, died suddenly Sunday, January 18, 2015 at his home. He was born in Detroit on November 11, 1937 to the late Raymond and Mariam (Perry) Bauley and graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School, River Rouge in 1954. He married Ethel Arlene Henshall on August 19, 1961 in Bethesda, Maryland. She preceded him in death in March 2000.
He was very proud of being a US Navy veteran, retiring after a 22-year career at the rank of Lt. Commander. During his time in service he served in Vietnam and held many positions relating to military healthcare. After his time in the Navy, he worked at the East Central Michigan Health Systems Agency. He moved from Saginaw to Sand Point in 1988. He was a member of the Caseville Eagles and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his daughters Dawn Pluto of Bay City, Robin Bauley of Lincoln Park and Tracy Swanson (Jerry Allen) of Bay City; grandchildren Joe, Tony, Zachary, Amber, Nicole and Andrew; and sisters Mary (Lou) Kozler of Johannesburg, Ida Navarre of Florida and Clair Barevich of Sand Point.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, January 23rd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Fr. Robert Pare presiding.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am Friday until the time of the service.
