Raymond F. "Sam" Riddlebarger, age 86, of Marlette, formerly of Flint and Sebewaing, went to be with Jesus on Friday, June 28, 2012 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. Sam was born September 14, 1925 in Scoito Furnace, Ohio to the late Harry and Ina (Carpenter) Riddlebarger. On August 9, 1947 he married Donna Haag. She passed away in 1994. On December 27, 1997, Sam married Jeannette (Hopper) Dombrowski. Sam was a proud WWII Navy Veteran. He is retired from General Motors/Fisher 1 after 37 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed golfing, served on the church board for 28 years at Bethel Assembly of God church in Flint and was a current member of Good News Assembly of God Church in Marlette.
Sam is survived by his wife: Jeannette Riddlebarger; his daughter Jeannette (Wayne) Wright; step children: Pam (Steve) Boyne and Anthony (April) Dombrowski; grandchildren: Marsha (John) Haselbeck and Michael Boyne; great grandchild: Mya Haselbeck; Siblings: Lloyd (Rosie) Donohue, Betty Browell and Oscar (Betty) Donohue.
Sam is predeceased by his parents Harry and Ina Riddlebarger, his first wife Donna Riddlebarger, his daughter Marilyn Riddlebarger, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Visitation Monday, July 2, 2012 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.
Funeral service Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Burial at Assembly of God Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to Good News Assembly of God Church in Marlette, MI.
