Raymond H. Fiebig

Raymond H. Fiebig, age 83, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his home.

He was born June 20, 1930 in Sebewaing to the late John and Emma (Gremel) Fiebig. He married Sheila Gates April 6, 1957 in Detroit. They enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage. He worked at Millerwise and later owned Fiebig Insurance Agency in Sebewaing. Raymond served in the US Army for 4 years in Germany. He was on the Sebewaing Fire Dept. for 25 years and helped in starting the Sebewaing Ambulance Service. He was a member of the Sebewaing VFW and served as Commander and Quarter Master. He was also a member of the Sebewaing American Legion and served as Treasurer. Raymond also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Sebewaing Mutual Fire Insurance Company.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Sheila; children: Michael (Linda) Fiebig and Stephen (fiancé Amy Marsh) Fiebig; grandchildren: Adam, Samuel and Jonathan Fiebig; two sister-in-laws: Mary Fiebig and Ila Fiebig.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Edgar Fiebig, Lorna Highducheck, Carl Fiebig and Art Fiebig.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-9pm.

The funeral service will be Friday, April 11, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Memorial donations may be given to the Ladies Aid or Immanuel Debt Retirement Fund.
