Renate Woodward

Renate Woodward of Caro, age 64, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at her home. Renate was born April 6, 1957 in Warren, the daughter of Grete (Koller) Gennrich and the late Erich Gennrich. She was united in marriage with Robert Woodward, Jr. on September 26, 1976 in Centerline, and he survives. Renate was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and committed to loving and taking care of her family. Renate enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Renate is survived by her loving husband of forty-five years, Robert Woodward; four children and spouses, Robert Woodward III and wife, Teena, of Indiana, Edmund Woodward and wife, Clarise, of Indiana, Melissa Redmond and husband, Bill, of Caro, Teresa Zewatski and husband, Daniel, of Davison; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandsons; her mother, Grete Gennrich; two sisters, one brother and their spouses, Reinhild Bednarski and husband, Dan, of Goodrich, Ericka Reynolds and husband, Gary, of Lake Orion, Peter Gennrich and wife, Barb, of Tawas; sister-in-law, Cathy Gennrich. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Erich Gennrich. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place.
