Rhonda Rogers

Rhonda Rogers, age 53, went to be with Jesus on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. She was born December 5, 1958 in Pontiac to Retha (Buhl) Kilburn and the late Alfred Grant. Rhonda grew up in White Lake and graduated high school in Holly. She was united in marriage with Timothy Rogers on August 8, 1992 in Pontiac. Rhonda was a homemaker, wife and devoted mother, and enjoyed being a grandmother and taking care of the grandchildren, as well as quilting. She was a cancer survivor of five years and involved in the relay for life. Rhonda is survived by her husband, Tim; three children and their spouses, Kristin (Matt) Weaver of Caro, Katrina (Cody) Dunham of Caro, and Jesse (Jana) Ferree of Caro; five grandchildren, Kayleigh, Alyssa, and Shyann Weaver, Mason Ferree, Micah Dunham; her parents, Jessie and Retha Kilburn of Mayville; her siblings, Renee (Joe) Bredow of Goodrich, Russell Grant of Caro, Ramona (Doug) Prime of Highland; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins she was very close with; and her pet bird, Rambo, who they have had for twenty years. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Roxanne Grant and a brother, Rodney Grant. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Deford Community Church with Pastor David Cooper officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Rhonda Lee Rogers Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Timothy Rogers, 205 W.
