Richard L. Diggs

Richard L. Diggs of Caro, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his home. He was born December 6, 1935 in Flint, the son of the late Hiram and Rhoda (Matthews) Diggs. Richard was employed as a carpenter in the construction industry. He was a member of the Caro VFW Post 4164 and the NRA. Richard is survived by his seven children and their spouses, Rhonda (Don Vanderberg) Jennings of Caseville, Carol (Steen) Miller of California, Judy (John) Dowding of Roseville, John (Lee) Diggs of Florida, Kurt Diggs of Macomb, Johndra Diggs of Caro, Jennifer Diggs of Caro; several grandchildren; one brother, George Diggs; one sister, Mary Lou Davis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Almeda Reed and Marthalene Redman; and two brothers, Hiram Diggs and Shadrick Matthews. In keeping with Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services being planned at this time.
