Richard D. Dufty, 55, of Caseville, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak from injuries received in a snowmobile accident in Trout Lake, Michigan.
Rich was born March 9, 1965 in Saginaw to Walter and the late Paulette (Kopah) Dufty. He graduated from Caseville High School in 1983. He married Victoria Goslee on October 10, 1991 at the Caseville United Methodist Church.
He and his brother Dwayne owned Dufty’s Excavating in Caseville. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. His greatest joy was being papa to his grandson Mason and he was anxiously awaiting his second grandson in April.
Rich is survived by his wife Victoria; sons Zachary (Rian) of Saginaw, Tyler (Chelsey Klawon) of Pigeon and Cody of Caseville; grandson Mason; father Walter of Caseville; brother Dwayne (Kelli) of Caseville and sister Kim (Russ) Langley of Ortonville. He was preceded in death by his mother Paulette, who died the day before his death.
A memorial service for Richard and his mother Paulette will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 7th at the Caseville American Legion Hall, 4995 N Caseville Road, Caseville, MI 48725. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
