Richard A. Emery

Richard A. Emery of Caro, age 92, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Richard was born April 7, 1930 in Caro, the son of the late Stanley and Ruby (Tennant) Emery and was a 1948 graduate of Caro High School. He was united in marriage with Dolores Wisniewski on April 10, 1949 and she preceded him in death on November 21, 2017. Richard worked for forty-two years at Universal Engineering Company in Frankenmuth directing the sales and marketing operations in the United States and European countries. He retired May 1, 1993 as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. He was always very active in church and civic organizations, junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees), Tuscola County Polish American Club, Lions Club, and the Knights of Columbus. The joy of his life was his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are two children, Terry Alan Emery of Frankenmuth, and Lisa Marie Nusz of Akron; five grandchildren, Falon Watson, Holly (Anthony) Bommarito, Alicia Leach, Chelsea Leach, Brad (Brooke) Leach; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Paige, Elecktra, Lexie, Brayden, Aria, Lucas, Carter, Ava Mae, Siniya, Astreah, Winter, Emery, and Brantlee. In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory Richard Emery and Randolph Lee Emery. In keeping with Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Christopher Coman officiating. Inurnment will follow the luncheon at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
