Richard G. Hickey

Richard Gerald Hickey, age 67 of Caseville and formerly of Berkley, passed away Friday evening, March 8, 2013 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe after a long illness.

Born in Detroit on May 4, 1945, Richard was the son of the late Gerald James and Hazel Jesse (Hawley) Hickey. In 1963 he graduated from Redford High School and later attended Lawrence Technical Institute. On June 3, 1978 he was united in marriage to Susan Lynn Prokop at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Detroit.

Richard worked for Borman Foods and the Farmer Jack Grocery Company as a data processor for over 30 years before retiring and moving to the Caseville area from Berkley in 2006. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed antique cars, especially his 1963 Chevy Bel Air.

His survivors include his wife Susan; a son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Jennifer Hickey of Roseville; and his dear grandson Aaron James Hickey.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
