Richard D. Holmes

Richard D. "Rich" Holmes age 50 of Caro died Saturday morning, March 3, at home with his family at his side while under hospice care.
He was born March 10, 1956 in Caro to John and Lucy (Roose) Holmes and lived in the Caro area most of his life.
In 1973, he enlisted in the US Navy returning to Caro after his discharge.
On April 29, 1994, he was united in marriage to Susan L. Kumpf in Caro.
Rich enjoyed the out of doors, especially fishing with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Susan, four children, Perry (Kyla) Harwood of Indianapolis, IN, Richard Holmes of Fort Campbell, KY, Jessica (Shane) Woycik of Charlotte, NC and Lorraine (Charlie) Bilicki of Caro; seven grandchildren; his parents, John and Lucy Holmes of Caro, three brothers, John (Diane) Holmes of Caro, Jim (Colleen) Holmes of Mayville and Randy (Monnie) Holmes of Caro; his sister, Doris (Richard) Low of Vassar and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and luncheon will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 6, at Sacred Heart Parish Center, Caro with military honors by the Caro American Legion Post #7.
