Richard Victor Jahr, Jr.

Richard Victor Jahr, Jr., age 70, of Sebewaing, passed away September 13, 2017.

Richard was born in Sebewaing on April 2, 1947, to the late Richard, Sr. and Eythel (Wyman) Jahr. After graduating from Sebewaing High School he enlisted in the US Navy. After being honorably discharged, he married Kristine R. Bunting on June 17, 1988, in Bay Port. After the service he also started working for Michigan Bell, retiring in 1998. Richard enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, shooting pool, camping, watching golf, and carpentry. He was a member of the Sebewaing American Legion Post # 293.

Richard is survived by his wife, Kristine; children: Aron (Stephanie) Jahr of Webb City, Missouri and Kaitlyn (Kyle) Hair of Spring, Texas; grandchildren: Kasey and Ella Jahr; and his dog, Sophie.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
