Richard M. Klosowski Sr., 73, of Pigeon, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at home.
Richard was born May 21, 1947 in Bay City to the late Edward and Irene (Smaglinski) Klosowski. He attended Bay City Central High School and served in the US Army. On December 22, 1972 he married Merry Hetherington in Bad Axe.
He retired in 2003 from Tower Automotive in Sebewaing as a metal finisher leader. He and his wife were janitors at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and School in Berne for 33 years. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed working outside and helping people in any way he could.
He is survived by his wife Merry; children Stacey Hyde of Carsonville, Sean (Christine) of Sebewaing, Richard Jr. (Tammy) of Bay City and Michael (Mallory) of Pigeon; grandchildren Courtney, Eric, Ryan, Haley, Roy, Ty, Benjamin and Summer; great-grandchildren Aster, Troy, Hattie and Grace; brother John (Rosa) of Elkton; and special daughter-in-law Mary Kay Hebert of Caseville. He was preceded in death by his sister Carol Conger.
There will be visitation 2-8 Wednesday, March 3rd at the Champagne Funeral Chapel. A private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Elkton.
