Richard Lee Koch

Richard L. Koch, age 59, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

Richard was born January 23, 1958, in Pigeon, to the late Clarence and Dolores (Glomb) Koch. He married Renee M. Luther on July 24, 1981. He worked as a farm hand for Lutz Family Farms. Richard enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, telling jokes, bowling, playing poker with his friends, watching U of M Football and the Detroit Tigers. He loved farming and spending time with his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by his wife, Renee; children: Jason (Jessica) Bursick of Freeland, Melissa (Jason) Hemerline of Unionville and Nicole Meyer of Unionville; 9 grandchildren: Brody, Bevyn, Brecklyn, Blake, Makayla, Shyanne, Keegan, Jaden and Abigail; siblings: Roger (Kathy) Koch, Sharon Healy and Tom Koch, and nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dolores Koch; and brother, Dennis Koch.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Friday, October 20, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Brad Haist will be officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
