Richard "Rick" Pedigo

Richard A. “Rick” Pedigo age 64, died Wednesday, June 22, at his home in Madison Heights after a long battle with cancer.

He was born September 6, 1946 in Detroit, at the home of his parents the late Richard and Evelyn Pedigo. Rick grew up in Madison Heights, going to Dondero High School in Royal Oak until entering the U S Army in 1964. After returning home, he worked as a truck driver for Potter Moving Company until retiring on disability in the 1990’s.

He enjoyed sailing, gardening, darts, baseball and quiz shows. Rick was an avid coin collector and loved teaching his four Papions, tricks.
Having his daughter, Brianna late in life, he became very passionate about raising her.

Surviving are three children, Rick, Scott and Brianna; four grandchildren, Kyle, Destiny, Jessie and Ava; his sister, Gloria Beadle and his ex-wife, Andrea, who was always there for him. Also surviving are a niece and nephew, a great niece and eight great nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother, Jimmie and his sister, Rita.

A memorial service conducted by Karen Bouverette, with military honor by the Elkton VFW will be at 2:30 PM Saturday, July 2, Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Memorials may be given to the family or the American Cancer Society.
