Richard "Richie" Ernest Wichert Ii

Richard “Richie” Ernest Wichert, II, age 36, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 31, 2025. Richie was born May 24, 1988 in Flint, the son of Richard, I and Trisha (Savage) Wichert. After graduation, he spent many years working as a tree trimmer, most recently with Trombley’s Tree Service of Mount Morris. He had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, always eager to cast a line or venture into the woods. Camping brought him joy, and he found peace in nature, whether sitting by a campfire or exploring the wilderness. When he wasn’t outside, Richie enjoyed playing video games on his PlayStation, often with his faithful companion, a three-legged blue pit/beagle mix named Lt. Dan, by his side.

Left to cherish Richie’s memory are his parents, Richard & Trisha Wichert; his brother, Chad Wichert; his partner of nine years, James Oglesby; his beloved dog, Lt. Dan; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In keeping with Richie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life is being planned for the summer.
