Richard Swayne

Richard W. Swayne, Jr., age 61, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Covenant Medical Center - Harrison in Saginaw, following a brief illness. Richard was born March 30, 1950 in Pontiac, the son of the late Richard & Rosemary (Talbot) Swayne. He was united in marriage with the former Christina Sutton on April 3, 1979 in Pontiac, and the couple cherished more than thirty-two years together. Richard was most recently employed as a builder with Premier Building & Design in Caro. His passion was being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Richard also enjoyed going on car rides and attending “bump and run” races. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Christina L. Swayne of Caro; four children, Michael A. Sutton and his wife, Carrie of Canton, Richard Swayne III of Caro, Aaron W. Swayne of Caro, Nicole Swayne of Bloomfield Hills; four grandchildren, Miles, Eveelyn, Zachery and Jayden; three sisters, Linda Baker and her husband, Bill of Somerset, Kentucky, Lonna Kowalski and her companion, Dave of Alpena, Laurie Swayne of Alpena; a sister-in-law, Roxanne Sutton of Clarkston; and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by four brothers, Rodney, Randy, Robert and Ricky Swayne.
