Richard "Warfi" Warford

Richard "Warfi" Warford, Sr., age 67, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw, following a lingering illness. Warfi was born November 14, 1946, the son of the late Robert & Genevieve (Wummel) Warford. He was united in marriage with the former Linda Marie Kendall on April 3, 1998 in Caro, and she survives him. Warfi was a machine operator for General Motors at Steering Gear in Saginaw for most of his working career. He was a member of UAW Local 699, the Caro Moose Lodge #1049, ABATE of Michigan, and the Caro Eagles Aerie #3587. Warfi will be remembered by those who knew him for his smile and ability to make people laugh. He loved his motorcycles, movies, dancing, being on the computer and his flower garden. Left to cherish Warfi's memory are his wife, Linda Marie Warford of Caro; two children, Angela O'Connor of Marysville, Rick Warford, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Snover; five grandchildren, Jennifer Fuller of Marysville, Douglas Fuller of Mesick, Richard Warford III and his wife, Rachael of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Chad Warford of Snover; Natasha Bock of Rockford, Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Jayla, Austin, Brielle, Makaya and Brenan; two siblings, Robert Warford of Ubly, Valirie Yax and her husband, Herbert of Deford; his loving in-laws and extended family. In addition to his parents, Warfi was preceded in death by three siblings, Shirleen Holdburg, John Warford and Frank Warford. In keeping with Warfi's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with David Muz officiating.
