Richard Harold Weisenbach, Sr., age 72, of Sebewaing, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw.
Richard was born at home at 2820 Rose Island Road in Sebewaing, to the late Harold and Thelma (Bossert) Weisenbach. After graduating from Sebewaing High School in 1965, he joined the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam Era stationed in Germany. He worked for Sebewaing Industries for 37 ½ years. He married Shirley Jeffers on June 27, 1970, at Assembly of God Church in Sebewaing, being married for 38 ½ years. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending auction sales and garage sales. His favorite thing to do was touring the thumb area almost every day visiting local businesses. Richard was a member of the Sebewaing American Legion Post #293 and the Moose Lodge in Caro.
Richard is survived by his 3 children: Emily Lotter of Bay Port, Rich (Traci) Weisenbach, Jr. of Sebewaing and David Weisenbach of Sebewaing; 2 grandchildren: Alena Lotter and Trenton Weisenbach; siblings: Donald (Karen) Weisenbach of Owendale, Barb (William) Sting of Saginaw, Dennis Weisenbach of Sebewaing, Betty Carter of Sebewaing, Harold (Marge) Weisenbach of Sebewaing and Gary (Carrie Dohn) Weisenbach of Caro; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert Hodder, Charles Gaeth and Barb Weisenbach; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Harold and Thelma Weisenbach; siblings: David Weisenbach, Robert Weisenbach, Gearldean Koepf, Kathy Hodder and Shirley Gaeth; brother-in-law, Benny Carter; and nephew, John Weisenbach.
Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2019 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home from 2-9pm.
The funeral will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Pastor Al Eastman will be officiating.
Burial will be at Assembly of God Cemetery in Sebewaing. A military service will follow.
Memorial donations may be given to the family discretionary fund (c/o Emily Lotter).
