Rick Roger Gremel

Rick R. Gremel , age 63, of Unionville, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, December 22, 2021.

Rick was born in Bay City on August 2, 1958, to Roger and Dorothy (Nitz) Gremel. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School in Unionville and graduated from USA High School in 1976.

Rick married the love of his life, his rock, Tammy Gangler on February 18, 1984. Knowing Rick, he fully enjoyed working, whether that be on his farm with Kyle or at Shelson Industries with business partners that became family. When not working, he enjoyed snowmobiling in the winter and motorcycling in the summer with his wife and friends, otherwise known as "The Wild Hogs".

Rick was a family man. To Rick, his family was everything, but to his girls, he was truly their foundation.

Rick will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, he was extremely proud of his children, their spouses and his grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his wife, Tammy; daughters: Angie (Craig) Vermeersch, Jenny (Eric) Gardy, Brooke (Andrew) Kuhl, Dani (Chris) Gettleson and Katie (Tyler) Parsell; grandchildren: Reid, Myles, Ava, Chase, Taylor and Ryker; parents: Roger and Dorothy Gremel; mother-in-law: Connie Gangler; siblings: Sherry (Mike) Gaeth, Sue (Mike) Eisengruber and Randy (Tracy) Gremel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rick is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Gangler.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-8pm.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Novesta Church of Christ, 2896 N. Cemetery Rd., Cass City. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Brad Speirs will be officiating.

Burial will be at Columbia Township Cemetery, Unionville.

Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School.
