Robert Allen

Robert Allen, age 66 years, of Bevens Road, Caro passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Marlette Community Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1940 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clarence and Etta (Welch) Allen. He served in the United States Navy from 1957-1960. He married the former Nancy Yeager on June 30, 1958. She preceded him in death on March 31, 1988. He then married Carmen Willard on December 11, 1987. Later, he married Patricia Carroll on September 10, 1998. Bob enjoyed the great outdoors, camping, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He was known for his jokes and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Patty; eight children and spouses, Don (Terri) Allen of Tucson, Arizona, Ron (Lilly) Allen of Harrison, Vickie (Doug) Lake of Montrose, Robert Allen of Swartz Creek, Sandy (Thad) Larsen of Germany, Jamie (Chris) Boatwright of Flint, Amy Ingraham of Davison and Carrie Ingraham of Davison; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bob is one of fourteen children and is survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Bob will be greatly missed by his closest niece and nephew, Howard and Bonnie Tucker. The funeral will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday, July 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eric Foster officiating. Burial will be at Montrose Township Cemetery in Montrose, Michigan at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will be at Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Robert Allen family discretionary fund, c/o Patricia Allen.
