Robert G. Althouse, 49 of Pigeon, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at home. He was born in Lansing on April 8, 1965 and was the son of Harold and Madonna (Milliman) Althouse.
He was often called Uncle Bob at Huron Castings where he worked for many years; at Ubly Heights he was known as Pops. Bob loved golfing and bowling throughout his lifetime. He also enjoyed people, especially his family and friends.
He was a very generous person that also had a fun, sarcastic, stubborn, bullheaded side that everyone loved.
His survivors include a son, Robert J. Althouse of Pigeon; daughter, Nichole Althouse of Greeneville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Madison Althouse and Parker Althouse; sisters, Stephanie (Jason) Olmsted of Dimondale, Kim (Jan) Blunt of Rockford, and Paula (David) Gallt of Ovid; dear friends, Brian and Tammy Puvalowski; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Per his wishes, Bob has been cremated. A gathering will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Ubly Heights Golf & Country Club to celebrate Bob's life.
Memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund.
