Robert Arnold

Robert M. Arnold, Jr., age 55, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, Tuesday, May 20, 2008, following a lingering illness. Bob was born June 7, 1952 in Detroit, the son of Robert M. & Doris (Peltier) Arnold. He graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School with the class of 1970 and lived and worked in the Detroit area until moving to the Caro area in 1991. At the age of 18, Bob joined the Knights of Columbus and was a two-term Grand Knight of the Grosse Pointe Woods Council under Msgr. Vismara, as well as captain of the K of C bowling league for over ten years. He had been employed with Sears for over 18 years, later with Wal-Mart as well as several other companies. Bob was an avid fan of University of Michigan sports and enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and working in the garden. Bob married his beloved wife, the former Diane Rohlfs, on July 10, 2004 in Akron. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his mother, Doris Arnold of Grosse Pointe Woods; three sisters and their spouses, Kathleen & David Jarcek, Beverly & Jim Trepezynski, all of Roseville, Connie & Colin Yates of Eastpointe; five nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Arnold, Sr., on June 16, 2007.
