Robert L. Bader

Robert L. Bader of Caro, age 81, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at his home. Bob was born May 30, 1942 in Lapeer, the son of the late David and Evelyn (Bacon) Bader. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Maryland. On July 21, 1973, Bob married the love of his life, the former Bonnie S. Ryckman. Their marriage was blessed with over fifty years and countless memories. An independent entrepreneur at heart, Bob loved scrapping and taking drives to find treasures. He enjoyed fishing, hunting for bigfoot, trips to flea markets, playing the guitar, writing songs, and singing with his wife. Bob was a virtual minister and proud of his protestant faith. Above all else, he loved being with his family and his pets, they were the lights of his life.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Bonnie; children, Kerry (Susan) Bader, Dominic (Crystal) Bader, Robert (Amber) Bader, Larry (Cindi) Bader, Patricia (Bob) Coslick, Susan Clark, Holly (Jeff) Miller, and Russell (Lori) Bader; grandchildren, Meghan, Zakkary (Maddie), Ava, Gabriel, Jordan, Colton, Madison, Larry, Daniel (Amber), Timothy, Tiffany, Mike, Ashley (Todd), Laura, Ryan (Angela), Kyle, Nikkoli, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey, Landon, Seth, Cole, and Roxy; siblings, Doris (Gilbert) Sainz, Dana Roth, and Carol Owen; uncle, George Bader; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his niece, Veronica Kish; brothers-in-law, Donald Roth and Gary Owen.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Rondo officiating. The family will be present to receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his 12:00 p.m. service at the funeral home.
