Robert Richard Balzer
Robert R. Balzer, age 83, of Unionville, passed away October 7, 2016, at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro.
Robert was born January 3, 1933, in Akron Township, to the late Alex and Eva (Jacoby) Balzer. He married Marilyn Langlois on August 11, 1951. She after 44 years of marriage she passed away October 16, 1995. He is a member of Our Lady of Consolata Catholic Parish (Holy Family) in Sebewaing, worked as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau Insurance in Unionville, enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing the accordion, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his children: Tom (Sandy), Terry (Vickie), Tim (Dale), Ted, Diane (Loran) VanBevern, Deb (Larry) Kroswek, David (Donna), and Sheila Balzer; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers: James (Phillis) Balzer and John (Judy) Balzer; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Balzer; grandchildren: Derek Balzer and Joshua Kroswek; and brother: Alex Jr (Donna) Balzer.
Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2016, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Our Lady of Consolata Catholic Church (Holy Family). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Unionville.
Memorial donations may be given to Our Lady of Consolata Catholic Church.
