Robert “Bob” Allen Floyd peacefully fell asleep in death on Sunday, October 6, 2024, with his family by his side. Bob was born on March 11, 1943, in Rochester, Michigan, the son of the late Howard and Evelyn (Lovell) Floyd. He met the love of his life Linda Lou Crowe through mutual friends and were married on March 14, 1964. Bob began working at General Motors and when the opportunity arose to early retire in 1992, he eagerly took it. Before retirement, Bob could be found riding his BMW motorcycle with friends from the east coast down to the Smokey Mountains and all over Michigan. His love of the great outdoors increased following retirement; after spending time hunting in the thumb an opportunity to move just up the road from the hunting cabin arose and Bob and Linda headed to Deford then later moved to Caro.
Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. Even though there were unsuccessful trips he loved being outdoors in nature and could sometimes be found napping in the hunting blind with a deer below. One of the most important aspects of his life was his love of Jehovah God. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses
Left to cherish Bob’s memory is his loving wife Linda of sixty years; daughter, Jennifer Trahan (David) of Caro; son, Anthony of North Carolina; daughter, Jaimie (Mark) Erickson of North Carolina; grandchildren, Chelsea and Austin and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sisters, Kay and Eleanor; brothers, Howard “Jim” and Richard “Dick”; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Dorothy Crowe.
