Robert Capitan

Robert F. Capitan, 76, of Caro, formerly of Detroit, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. He was born on May 4, 1929 in Detroit where he lived until the 80s. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Germany during the rebuilding that followed WWII. Robert Capitan married the former Beatrice Gamet in June of 1953 in Detroit. She preceded him in death in 1976. Bob was employed, until his retirement, at the Cadillac Motor Car Division of General Motors in Detroit. He loved drawing caricatures, jogging, fishing and playing tennis. Bob was a published poet and a contributor to the Tuscola County Advertiser. He was an active supporter of the Detroit Lions and Tigers. Bob enjoyed spending time with his several grand- and great-grandchildren. Bob is survived by five children, Robert E. Capitan and his fianc
