Robert J. Deming

Robert J. Deming, age 71, of Bay Port died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Scheurer Hospital following a massive heart attack.

He was born March 28, 1941 in Bay Port to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Eimers) Deming. He lived in Bay Port until the family moved to his grandfather’s farm on Bay Port Road, where he was currently living.

Bob was a diesel mechanic with Denton Construction, Port Huron retiring in 1997 for health reasons. Pryor to that, he worked several years at Michigan Oven and about 15 years at Greenview Hatchery, Caseville.
He was a member of Living Word Worship Center, Cass City. In the early years he enjoyed fishing and hunting, deer, pheasants, ducks, turkey and small game.

Surviving are his wife Diane; two children, Scott (Rachael) Deming of Yale and Penny (Dale) Wood of Unionville; 6 step children, Pam Lang of Sterling Heights , Greg (Mary) Peterson of Caseville, Sherri (Steve) Cummins of Ortonville, Wendy (Jason) Walasek of Caseville, Amber Cox of Waterford and Ann (James) Solano of Lake Orion; ten grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Virginia) Deming of Caseville and Rich (Wilhelmina) Deming of Canton, GA and two sisters, Betty (Jerry) House of Sebewaing and Janet (Robert) Johnstin of Greenville.

A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, December 1, at Living Word Worship Center, 6536 Houghton St, Cass City with interment at New Bay Port Cemetery.
