Robert Ray Dora of Caro, age 70, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at MidMichigan Health in Midland. Bob was born May 5, 1950 in Ypsilanti, the son of the late Paul and Ilene (Gearhart) Dora. He was employed for over thirty-four years at Ingham Regional Hospital in Lansing where he worked in the custodial department. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed camping, kayaking, canoeing, and spending time with family. Bob is survived by two sisters, Paulette Austin and Caralene Dora Ploe; mother-in-law, Elsie Johnson; sisters-in-law, Donna VanHorn, Margie Johnson, and Tonya Johnson; brothers-in-law, Bobby Johnson, Raymond (Terry) Johnson, Billy (Darlene) Johnson, and Robert Johnson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Corrin Feighner and Carol Nelson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Dora; and one sister, Barbara Pyonk-Singleton. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Inurnment at Indianfields Township Cemetery will take place at a later time. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
