Robert "Buff" Eremia, Sr.

Robert "Buff" Eremia, Sr. of Caro, age 71, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw. Buff was born February 21, 1947 in Sebewaing, the son of the late John and Helen (Martens) Eremia, and was a 1965 graduate of Sebewaing High School. He was united in marriage with the former Janet Graves on June 5, 1976 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Buff learned his plumbing and heating trade at Kundinger & Rievert in Sebewaing. He went on to work at Defoe Shipbuilding in Bay City, Saginaw Steering Gear, and Eremia Heating and Air Conditioning until his retirement. Buff was a very social person who enjoyed hunting, fishing, canning, cooking, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro since 1976. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Janet Eremia of Caro; four children and their spouses, Robert & Su Eremia, Jr. of Caro, Roger & Jill Eremia of Unionville, Sara Eremia of Caro, Jim & Grace Eremia of Cass City; twelve grandchildren, Ben & Lyssa Lynch, Brooke & Zach Rocheleau, Airman Reece Eremia, Autumn Eremia, Chanc Eremia, Morgan Eremia, Jacob Eremia, Ava Eremia, Justin Bilicki, Kaylee Bilicki, Alyssa Eremia, Angel Eremia; two great-grandchildren, Nolan Lynch and Edyn Spicer; siblings and spouses, Betty Ann Steadman, Sandy & Royce Shamel, Jacqui & Mike Mandich, Bill & Lynette Eremia, Mike Eremia, Mary Ralston; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Buff was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Chelsee Eremia; and one brother, Bruce Eremia. In keeping with Buff's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Rev. Cameron Steele officiating.
