Robert Martin Fluegge

Robert M. Fluegge, 87, of Pigeon passed away peacefully Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Scheurer Long Term Care in Pigeon.

Bob was born June 13, 1934 in Ann Arbor to the late Otto and Emma (Voss) Fluegge. He graduated from Pigeon High School in 1952. On June 27, 1953 he married Mary Lou Guisbert at Hayes Methodist Church.

Bob began his career in farm equipment sales for Gettel Implement Sales in Pigeon and later owned Pigeon Motor Sales, retiring in 1992. Bob was active in the community with Pigeon Village Council, Winsor Twp. Fire Department, Scenic Golf Course, Pigeon Lions, and Laker Athletics. Bob was involved in all aspects of supporting St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne.

Bob is survived by his wife Mary Lou; children Randall (Diana) of Grand Junction, Colorado, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Leipprandt of Pigeon, Rick (Deborah) Summerville, South Carolina, and Rodd (Christine) of Oceanside, California; grandchildren Grayson (Brittney), Carli, Joy (Steve), E. Troy (Carly), Rebekah, David (Carly), and Jason; great-grandchildren Sage, Evan, Cooper, Lily, Kaden and Zachary; brother Otto (Loraine) of Elkton; brother-in-law Albertus Beadle of Caseville. He was preceded in death by grandson Benjamin; sisters: Lorraine Beadle, Crystal Teems and Janet Foy.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, September 4th at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne with Rev. Steve Neuman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
