Robert Willis Frent

Robert Willis Frent, age 85, of Akron, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.

Robert was born September 22, 1933, in Akron, to Willis and Emma (Wagner) Frent. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Army as a medic. He married Theo Kleinfeld on January 5, 1957, at the Methodist Church in Bay Port. Robert worked as a Reliability Technician in the lab at General Motors. He enjoyed traveling to Florida and California in their retirement years and camping in their 5 ^th wheel. Robert also enjoyed attending the grandkids cross country and track meets. He was a former member of the Akron Methodist Church.

Robert is survived by his wife, Theo; 2 children: Amy (Rob) Taylor of Sebewaing, and Robert Frent of Encinitas, California; grandchildren: Lucas Taylor, Joshua (Elizabeth) Taylor, Sarah (Kyle) Mowry, James (Katrina) Sheehan-Frent and Cory Sheehan-Frent; and 10 great grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Myra Doede and Maiza Klatt.

Per Roberts wishes, cremation has taken place.

A joint memorial service will take place Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the American Legion Post #293. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Brad Haist will be officiating.

Burial will take place privately at New Bay Port Cemetery in Fairhaven Township.

Memorial donations may be given to the Akron Fire Department.
