Robert Otis Fritz

Robert Otis Fritz, age 66, a lifelong Elkton resident, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe.

Robert was born July 9, 1943 in Elkton to Leona (Ewald) and the late Leonard Fritz. He was in the first graduating class from Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port High School in 1961. On May 9, 1964 he married Donna Wildman in Bach.

He loved his work as a tool and die maker, retiring in 2008 from Axis in Pigeon. He was a member of the Elkton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife Donna; children Sandy (Vicki) of Elkton, Randy (Debbie) of Owendale and Michelle (Mike) Shaw of Bad Axe; grandchildren Cory, Justine, Lucas, Megan, Matthew and Lauren; mother Leona Fritz of Elkton; mother-in-law Martha Wildman of Gagetown; and sister Marge (Dan) Maxwell of Elkton.

He was preceded in death by his father Leonard and father-in-law Roy Wildman.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 10th at Elkton United Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Pillow officiating.

Visitation will be 2-9 PM Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Elkton. He will lie in-state on Thursday one hour prior to the service in church.

Memorials may be made to the Elkton United Methodist Church.
