Robert Gangler, Sr., age 84, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.
Robert was born in Unionville on April 18, 1936, to Tony and Marjorie (Uptogrove) Gangler. After graduating from high school, Robert served in both the United States Army and Marine Corp. He married Connie Schumacher on February 3, 1961, in Kentucky. He worked many years for the Unionville Elevator.
Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing sports, and watching his kids and grandkids play sports. His children and grandchildren were a very special part of his life. He also enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and made numerous items for his family. Robert liked gardening and being outside and doing handyman jobs around the house. He loved his church and had a strong faith in Christ.
Robert is survived by his wife, Connie; children: Tammy (Rick) Gremel and Robert (Lisa) Gangler, Jr.; grandchildren: Brooke (Andy) Kuhl, Danielle Gremel and Chris Gettelson, Katelyn Gremel and Tyler Parsell, Collin Gangler, Sr and Ashleigh Nobili; great grandchildren: Taylor Kuhl, Ryker Kuhl and Collin Gangler, Jr.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Elaine Winter, Eileen Michacsi and Roger Gangler.
A private memorial service will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
