Robert K. Ginter age 70, of Elkton died Wednesday morning, July 13, at Covenant Cooper, Saginaw.
He was born April 15, 1946, in Pigeon to the late Kenneth and Margaret (Magwood) Ginter He grew up in Elkton and was a 1964 graduate of Laker High School.
After high school, Bob worked with the family business, Ginter Electric and Pools. In 1984, he took a position at Active Industries where he was employed as shipping supervisor until the plant reorganized in 2002.
On February 22, 1986, he was united in marriage to Judy Miller Yaroch at the United Protestant Church in Port Austin and made their home just outside of Elkton.
Bob stayed busy working in the couple’s antique store, which later included a full service Golf Pro Shop. More recently, Bob took up the art of stained glass and was very successful at it. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed playing golf.
Bob was a member of the Elkton Missionary Church, the Elkton Lions Club, Hubbard-Winsor Masonic Lodge #420 F&AM and current president of the Elkton Civic Center.
Surviving are his wife Judy; two daughters, Tammy (Nic) Morales of Port Huron and Debbie (Dave) Cunningham of Elkton; two step children, Tom (Kelli) Yaroch of Fenton and Michelle (Sean) Hammond of Elkton; six grandchildren, Becky, Maggie, Trent, Karly, Cody, Sophia, Sarah and Hannah; two brothers, Les (Carolyn) Ginter of Bay City and Jack (Kathy) Ginter of Elkton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, July 16, at the Elkton Missionary Church. Rev. Reggie Courliss, pastor will officiate with burial and Masonic services at Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Friday and at the church after 10 AM Saturday.
Memorials may be given to the Elkton Missionary Church or the donor’s choice.
