Robert Harbuck

Robert Curtis "RC" or "Rob" Harbuck, Jr., age 55 of Pigeon, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe.
He was born in Newberg, Oregon on June 13, 1957 and was the son of Robert C. Sr. and Marie (Wilson) Harbuck. He was a 1976 graduate of Owendale Gagetown High School, and was united in marriage to Carrie L. Pedler in Caseville in 2000.
Rob worked in Oklahoma as an oil well derrick hand, and at U.S. Manufacturing in Bad Axe since 1995. He loved fishing on the Sebewaing River with his brother, as well as NASCAR, football, and baseball. He enjoyed deer hunting and being in the woods, camping and spending time in the out-of-doors. He dearly loved his family, his children, brothers and sisters, his many cherished friends, and his dog and cat. R.C. was a prankster who enjoyed joking with people. He loved to work.
In addition to his wife, Carrie, Rob is survived by a daughter, Julia Harbuck, at home; a son, Robert Curtis Harbuck III of Erick, Oklahoma; his mother, Marie Thorp; siblings, Mary (Tom) Kimble of Cayce, South Carolina, Donna (James) Noirot of West Branch, Jerry (Michele) Harbuck of Sebewaing, Miles (Amy) Thorp of Yale, Angela Louks of Sebewaing, Terry Thorp of Bad Axe, Tena (Joe) Gai of Mt. Clemens, and Debra (Dell) Schad of Sebewaing; many nieces and nephews; in-laws, Richard and Joyce Pedler of Caseville; and sister-in-law, Laurie (Tim) Dewey of Midland. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Harbuck, Sr.; stepdaughter, Stormie Keith; stepfather, Robert E. Thorp; and sister-in-law, Julie Leach.
The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon, with Elder Terry Brown officiating. Cremation will follow at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.
Memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund.

Wednesday, November 28 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m.
