Robert Hepfer

Robert Hepfer of Caro, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025 at his home, with his loving family by his side. Robert (Bob) was born June 3, 1935 in Gilford, Michigan, the son of the late John A. & Violet (Burza) Hepfer. He was united in marriage with Mona L. (Mann) on December 2, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas and the couple later moved to Caro in 1972. Sadly, Mona passed away on December 28, 2009.

Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952 and was assigned to Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas. While there, he worked up to the rank of Technical Sargent (TSGT) as chief engineer on a C130 aircraft until his honorable discharge in 1970. Upon moving to Michigan in 1972, Robert was employed by Dow Chemical as Chief of Aircraft Maintenance until his retirement in 2002.

Robert loved his farm, the outdoors, pheasant hunting, and watching the deer in his backyard. Above all else, he loved his family.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory his children, James (Rita) Hepfer and Jerry (Ann) Hepfer; grandchildren, Jeremy (Haley) Hepfer and Timothy (Kristin) Hepfer; and great-grandchildren, Rylie, Reece, Lewis, and Warren Hepfer.

A private family burial will be held.
