Robert L. Janke

Robert L. Janke, age 83, of Sebewaing, died Saturday, December 7, 2019, at the Bay County Medical Care Facility in Essexville.

Robert was born the son of Erwin and Alma (Nitz) Janke, June 19, 1936 in Sebewaing, Michigan. He was a lifetime member at St. John's Lutheran Church, Kilmanagh. Robert was employed as a mechanic at Michigan Sugar for several years. He enjoyed antiquing, going to auctions, tinkering, socializing and was an avid coin collector. Robert also loved watching the Detroit Tigers.

Robert is survived by his nephews, David and Kevin Janke, and several cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Alma Janke, brother, Melvin Janke and nephew, Michael Janke.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 10am-12pm, with a memorial service following at 12pm. Rev. Thom Garrison will be officiating.

Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
