Robert "Bob" Joseph Kamrad of Caro, age 87, was born into eternal life on Monday, March 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bob is now in the arms of his savior and today lives with Jesus in the mansion God prepared for all those who believe and trust in him. Rejoice with Bob as he is now so happy to spend eternity with God in heaven. Bob has prayed that you will find Christ to be sufficient in your life as well. Bob was born February 10, 1935 in Caro, the son of the late Joseph and Olga (LaGina) Kamrad. He graduated from high school and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army from November 1954 until October 1956, stationed in Germany. Upon returning from overseas, at his brother's 21st birthday party, Bob happened to meet the love of his life, the former Elna Tetil. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on June 20, 1959, in Unionville. Their marriage was blessed with nearly sixty-three years, two wonderful sons, and countless memories. Bob was a dedicated parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a life member and 3rd degree of the K of C #3224. He and Elna belonged to the Caro Moose Lodge # 1049 and the Bay City Eagles, where they loved to dance every Saturday night. Bob and Elna absolutely loved to travel. Their travels took them on twelve cruises, adventures all over the United States, and their personal favorite trip, Rome. In Bob's free time, he enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, and above all being with his family. His wife, children, and grandchildren were the lights of his life. While he is no longer with us we know he is at peace with our Savior. Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Elna; sons, Paul (Linette) Kamrad and David (Kristina) Kamrad; grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Chelsea, and Madyson; great-grandchildren, Kendall and Archer; brother, John (Marie) Kamrad; sister-in-law, Jane Kamrad; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob is grateful now to be reunited with his grandparents, mother, father, and brother, James Kamrad, who have all gone home to heaven before him. In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Ceremony will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
