Robert C. Keehn, Sr. of Mayville, age 94, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at McLaren - Lapeer Region. Robert was born January 27, 1926 in Pontiac, the son of the late Charles & Irene (Carr) Keehn. He was united in marriage with the former DeLoris Reno on June 20, 1948 in Keego Harbor, and after sixty-six years of marriage, she preceded him in death on February 12, 2014. Robert went to work for Fisher Body in Pontiac and then was drafted into the U.S. Army serving with the 3rd Army during World War II under General George Patton and walked across Europe. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to work at Fisher Body, retiring after more than thirty years of employment. Robert was a lifetime member of the Caro VFW Post #4164 and the Port Austin American Legion Post. Robert was very much a family man and loved to watch Westerns. He enjoyed camping in his younger years. Robert is survived by three children and their spouses, Robert Keehn, Jr. of Mayville, Connie & Hobert Helton of Davison, Denise & Fred Longtine of Burton; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Charlotte June Rowan of Florida; three brothers, Richard Keehn of Waterford, Arnold & Patricia Keehn of Holly, Larry & Patricia Keehn of Waterford; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by one son, Terry Wayne Keehn; and four brothers, Eddie, Donald, Artie and LaVern Keehn. In keeping with Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service with military honors under the auspices of the Caro VFW Post #4164 and the U.S. Army will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the East Dayton Cemetery in Caro.
