Robert D. Krohn, 78, of Elkton, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at home under hospice care.

Bob was born February 2, 1944 at home in Oliver Twp to the late Carl Sr. and Rose (Stein) Krohn. He attended Elkton Schools. On May 2, 1964 he married Carolyn Cregeur at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Smiths Corner.

Bob was a lifelong farmer in Oliver Twp and sold seed corn. He also owned Elkton Shade Tree Farms which was his hobby. Bob served his community as Oliver Twp Clerk for 50 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkton where he served on various boards and committees and currently is a member at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne.

Bob is survived by his wife Carolyn; children Brian (Kristen) of Lansing, Jeffery (Stephanie) of Grant Twp and Cynthia (Steven) Tait of Kinde; grandchildren Nathan (Amber), Brandon, Autumn and Evan; brothers Carl Jr (Evelyn) of Grant Twp and Gerald (Sandra) of Essexville. He was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn (John) Richmond.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, April 16th at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne with Pastor Steve Neuman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Elkton. Visitation will be 2-8 Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
