Robert D. Landry, 72, of Port Hope, formerly of Macomb County, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw of complications from Covid.
Bob was born January 4, 1949 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late John and Valette (Allard) Landry. He served in the US Army in Vietnam. He married RoseMarie Amella on July 31, 1981 in Shelby Twp.
In 2008 he retired from Chrysler Corporation as a HI-LO driver from Sterling Stamping. After retiring he moved to Port Hope from Macomb County. He enjoyed spoiling his chocolate Labrador Kodi and watching Detroit sports and news.
He is survived by wife RoseMarie; sons Jason of Imlay City, Jeff of Hazel Park, John of Port Hope, Robert Jr. (Chaynte) of Bloomfield Hills and Ryan (Aryca) of Port Hope; grandchildren Ashleigh, Dillon, Christian, Dalton and Eva; brothers Edward (Barbara) of Arizona and Larry of Detroit and sister Linda Rickel of Port Austin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Enita Bailey.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
