Robert Donald "Bob" Lupton

Robert "Bob" Donald Lupton of Caro, age 90, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Tuscola County Medical Community in Caro. Bob was born September 28, 1931 in Rossford, Ohio, the son of the late Don E. & Lucille (Williams) Lupton, and spent most of his life living on a farm. He was also employed at Arjay Manufacturing in Vassar, working with plastic moldings beside his father and brothers. Bob spent much of his free time at the family cabin in Luzerne, hunting, and relaxing around the campfire with family and friends. He was a member of the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church. Bob also belonged to several Masonic organizations: Mt. Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 226, Free and Accepted Masons in Caro, where he served as a steward for many years; the Bay City Consistory; and the Elf Khurafeh Shrine in Circus Park Clio. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Ann; brother, Melvin "Bill" Lupton; and Melvin's wife, Grace. He is survived by two brothers and their spouses, Norman & Shirley Lupton of Caro, Ural & Joy Lupton of Fairgrove; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Dr. Tony Tomasino officiating. Burial will follow later in the day at the Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Masonic memorial service Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials in Bob's memory may be directed to the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church or Mt. Moriah Lodge, No. 226 Endowment Scholarship Fund.
